Swing for a Cause: The 43rd Annual Golf Classic

On June 6th, join us for a fun- and sun-filled day at our Annual Golf Classic, a time when we come together to celebrate our community, our impact and our mission. New this year: our first annual Pickleball Tournament, open to all! Sponsorship opportunities and raffle packages are now available, with exciting live and silent auction items coming soon. All proceeds benefit our education programs and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Korrey Kooistra Appointed Director of HB Threads

Korrey Kooistra has been named the Director of HB Threads, where she has been serving as the Interim Director. Prior to this, Korrey was the Director of Process Optimization and Transformation for the social enterprise. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing social justice and public health.

At Easterseals Serving Chicagoland and Greater Rockford, one of our pillars is expanding possibilities for individuals with disabilities. HB Threads is our non-profit and social enterprise providing employment opportunities, job training, and life skills development for individuals with disabilities. In this podcast, we talk with our Director of Social Enterprise and Employment Opportunities, Cody Wass, and two of our associates who are neurodivergent, Terry and Tyrell, who work at HB Threads producing custom apparel and buttons.
