"As a Mexican American, I'm thankful that we are celebrated to honor the many achievements and contributions of Hispanic people here in the U.S. Hispanic Heritage Month gives us the opportunity to celebrate and share our beautiful diversity with our communities and of course our coworkers. From our music, our RICH DELICIOUS FOOD, art, our language and much more. It is through these celebrations that we can inspire younger generations and bring communities (coworkers) together. To all who participated in the Hispanic Heritage Month potluck I hope you enjoyed some of our rooted traditional meals!"

"I brought in the pozole and candies because it is what I would do with my family. The pozole is a dish my grandmother makes often that brings the whole family together. With that comes great memories. The candies are something we would do if we were throwing a party used for the piñata. The Hispanic culture is very much about coming together, serving, and making sure people are stuffed to their faces with food. This made me feel like I was throwing a party for my family. Thank you to the Sunshine Committee for making this possible! It was a great success!"
